The Managed Introduction of New Medicines, Ljubljana, Slovenia 19-21 March 2012
This course is primarily intended for healthcare professionals involved with decision-making for funding new drugs and/or managing their introduction in Europe. The attendees will be limited to 50 to aid active participation, with faculty members present throughout the three days
Topics covered include:
- Principles of pharmacovigilance, clinical pharmacology and pharmacoepidemiology
- HTA and proposed models optimising the managed entry of new drugs
- Horizon scanning activities, forecasting and critical drug evaluation
- Health economic principles, concepts and practical guidance
- Risk sharing arrangements (from a payer perspective)
- Monitoring safety and effectiveness of new drugs in practice
- Local formulary development
- Payer approaches to influence prescribing behaviour and impact
- Prescribing and outcome monitoring including indicators

This summer, the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Clinical Pharmacology at
Utrecht University, the Netherlands, offers you three
